Well, it has begun.

Our interactive, "Bring Your Own Project" night has become its own bi-weekly event, ARTLATCH. Starting this Tuesday, the 25th of August, we'll throw open the TAC25 doors to the community with a free evening open project session in our Event Room. 6pm to 11pm so even most of you working stiffs can attend.

Come with a project, or just come to see what everyone's up to. Hot water will be provided for beverages. There will probably be snacks to share, and if you bring some it's even more likely.

Costumers! If you need power for your sewing machine, call (or post) ahead and I'll run a snake. (We're adding outlets soon, but we're a little short at the moment.)

All are welcome. Feel free to bring friends.

A little while back something came up between Tilith and I which caused him to leave Priests of Corruption.  He had asked me to give him more recognition for "Cripta Dimenticata" than he deserved, or to take it down.  This was said through a pretty rough email he had sent to me.  To avoid any sort of shit slinging contest, I pulled it down.  Easy enough, right?

Apparently not.

Today I found that he has created a new band profile (as of 7.9.2009) and uploaded a song named "Cripta Cementicata" so I naturally went to listen as the names are eerily alike.  What did I find?  The same song only renamed slightly.  I heard the drums that I had programmed and the layering/mixing was not a beat different.

So I feel that it is safe to reinstate the song where it really should be.  And since it's a relatively popular song, I don't think people will mind it being uploaded again.  To quote a friend regarding this: "Disappointingly poor behaviour on his part."

Some of us Scoundrels will be attending this, including myself. The Mad Doctor Gwyn bought the Operations Commander two tickets (one for her and one for me the pilot), and our crewmate Nathanael will be joining us for this exquisite event of Steampunk flavor!

I need help finding some resources for creating a Steampunk outfit. I am hoping that it will be along the lines of my Captain persona, but anything works at this point. Male and female would work, as Samantha and I will be attending something great!

I need to write more. Well, I have been writing for http://thescoundrels.net and some random freelance jobs, but I really need to work on the stories of which I have posted a few pieces of.

Well, there is one thing new that I will be writing, and it is with my Madame electric_orchid - a comic of epic awesomeness (if I might say so myself). That is all I am gonna say on it right now, as we are starting to work on it a bit.

As a foray into the realm of programming for desktops (as apposed to my web-only programming), I am taking part in building a game, codenamed "Project 34". A few of the guys working/helping have also helped me complete the basics of my Facebook application for Toribash, testing it when I needed.

Merf. I've been keeping myself busy, which is good. I am looking forward to moving to a new place with electric_orchid, because this will be the first time we will have had a place without roommates! Not saying they're bad or anything, it will just be the next step in life, one of which we live on our own.

Random:

• The Falling Angel has hit it's 60th comic.


• hambitRO is on hiatus until things are smoothed out enough that we can be bothered to build on it more.


• WizardSpire and QuestWorld are going to be going through some massive changes when I finally get the chance to work on them.


• I have crazy plans to build a WISP in the near future.

And on top of all this, I need to write more in the creative form.

Planning a game with my best friend and another from Toribash.
Planning a place to live with my fiancé, closer to her work I think.
Redesigning The Scoundrels with aforementioned friend.
Reworking my tactics for gaining customers, and expanding my services.
Being sleep deprived, but being happy.

So, I got a haircut with my cousin Tony. I now have short hair, as is seen below:

I woke up around 5am, as what I am used to doing lately.  So I went back to sleep, since this morning I wouldn't have to be up until 6:30am.  Upon closing my eyes and drifting into the dream world, I enter this dream where I find myself ushering Samantha and Nathan into the house, saying that the birds were infected with something and looked like they were borderline zombie-ish.  Crazy.  So, we get inside and I start panicking because the windows are open, but the screens are still closed, untouched.  Samantha wouldn't let me close any other window beside the one in our room, and Nathan cautiously went into his room to close his.

An hour goes by.

We're talking in the livingroom, when suddenly I see a small little finch sitting on the window sill in the kitchen.  On the inside.  I fly up out of my seat and grab the tan woven fruit bowl.  Fruit and bills go flying on to the floor as I am in the kitchen smashing the bird with the fruit bowl.  I proceed to run from window to window, crushing birds as I see them.  At this point, I think Samantha and Nathan think I'm crazy, for they haven't seen any yet.  Until the one behind Samantha makes a small fluttering noise.  She freaked and jumped like a cat; I thought she'd hit the ceiling and stay there.  I crush it, and we proceed to close the windows.

I wake up.

5:34am.

Birds are chirping outside.

So my mom got me this huge bag of Smarties candy last Christmas. I thought I had eaten them all, but then Sami opened up one of our boxes and BAM! What does she see? SMARTIES!

Very simple, and amusing.

I am in serious need of finding a way to organize my time so that I can be far more efficient and spend better time with friends, family and my loved one without thinking about work. I need to find a way to systematically destroy my procrastination and enhance my creative flow - something I need for both work and play.

In my quest for this, I have come to the conclusion that I might start using a moleskine, as I have been reading about them for quite a while, and a friend of mine recommended them a while back.

Search Engine Optimization seems like it will be a bitch to tackle for existing websites. But I must do it, "for the good of the world!"

Today's Questionable Content strip featured a gene pun, which reminded me of Nathan's comic strip. I emailed Jeph with a link to Nathan's comic. Will be interesting to see if he reads his comic.

Diablo III looks pretty sweet so far. Two things that stuck in my mind about the game: destructible surroundings and the Witch Doctor's wall of zombies. That was pretty epic to see.

I am working on ways to maximize the exposure of The Falling Angel, and so far things look a bit promising. I forgot how much I like doing research...

The head just had to come back. I mean, it's summer and all, but jeeze. It's supposed to be quite hot out this weekend, which is when the Taste of Tacoma is. Mid 80's, damn. I think I might go with my mom and family. It'll give me something to do.

Surprisingly, I have been forcing myself to get out of the house and try to become a little more active. There's been a change in my body and I'm not feeling to great about it. I'm gaining weight, which is awesome and all, but I just want to put it in the right places.

For those who don't know, The League of Magnificent Scoundrels are alive and kicking. A new design is in the works for the whole network, too. :o
